石川県金沢市出身。早稲田大学政治経済学部卒。バブル崩壊後に生まれた「Y世代」(別名・ゆとり世代)。
毎日新聞社で約6年間にわたり記者として外国人労働者の問題などを取材。政治部で、安倍晋三元総理大臣の番記者や外務省などを担当。
250万部を超える大ヒットビジネス書『伝え方が9割』の著者で、コピーライターの佐々木圭一氏らと共に文章執筆やテレビCM制作などに携わる。
『伝え方が9割』からスピンオフしたメディア『伝え方研究所』編集長。「国境なき医師団」のリーダーや企業経営者、大学教授らに、オンラインによる文章講師・添削も担当。
コロナ後はオーストラリアで海外生活をスタート。オランダへの移住を計画中。
趣味は、写真撮影とデザイン。写真好きが高じて、国内外からポートレート撮影を相談されることが多くなり、撮影依頼も受付中。
Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Graduated from Waseda University. (Political Science and Economics). Belongs to the “Y generation” born after the collapse of the bubble economy.
Worked as a journalist for approximately six years for the Japanese national newspaper Mainichi Shimbun, covering issues related to foreign labourers. Assigned to the political department, where responsibilities included being a reporter for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and covering the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Collaborates with copywriter Keiichi Sasaki, who is an author of the bestselling business book “The Art of Communication”( which has sold over 2.5 million copies ), and others on writing articles and producing TV commercials. Also serves as the editor-in-chief of “The Communication Research Institute,” a media outlet spun off from “The Art of Communication.” Provides online writing instruction and editing services to leaders of organisations such as Médecins Sans Frontières, corporate executives, and university professors.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, started living abroad in Australia. Currently planning to relocate to the Netherlands.
Hobbies include photography and design. Increased interest in photography led to receiving numerous inquiries for portrait photography from both domestic and international clients, with open availability for new photography projects.
